Lovely hotel, excellent food and staff. Let down by the sensor light and fan in the bathroom. Unable to switch off. When getting up in the night, the other person was woken up by the light and noisy extractor fan. Suggest installing a light switch.

On arrival i went to reception to be greeted by a very rude woman with absolutely no customer service skills at all . No welcome, no smile , no hello , just said name . She said you can't have the room you've booked because there's water coming through the sealing,so I'm putting you round the corner, looking baffled I looked on and followed her back out the hotel on the main road and around the corner in to what looked a normal house. I said I wasn't happy and that I paid £158 for a room with a sea view and a walk out balcony. She then ushered me back to the hotel. I said can I take alook at the room I've paid for please. I agreed I'd ignore the bucket on top of the wardrobe collecting the dripping water for the night and take the room . Her reply was , if any thing happens to you now , it's on your own back and it's nothing to do with me . ( Shocked ) No tea and coffee facilities here then ? Yes there down stairs, collect them yourself . Hotel door handle was broken, and the lock on the bathroom door was missing, tissue paper pushed in the hole of the missing lock hole . I have stayed in plenty of hotels and this place has to be at the bottom of the list ( dump ) avoid ! Avoid ! Avoid !

So I booked last minute. And managed to get a room good price for location and time of year. But what really took me back was when I walk into reception, I said Hello and that I was staying for the night.. this women looked at me as if I was something out of space and said NAME!! Point blank rude. O and then said normally when people walk into a reception there staying so cocky.. Couldn’t believe how rude she was.. and then to top it off she said Iv given you a triple room please don’t use the single bed?! But if you didn’t have just a double room and you put me in that room that’s not on me.. all the other staff was so so lovely!! Food looked lush.. didn’t eat here though..

Thursday's is steak night , two rump steaks and a bottle of wine for a set price. All our food was of a very good standard , I can recommend the chicken with a Stilton sauce. On our visit there was live music . Location is overlooking the beach. If favourable weather there is outside seating.

Although we haven't stayed here the food is very nice. Plenty of choice on the menu and pretty reasonable priced. Great to sit outside when the weather's nice and have a few beers.

Can't comment on rooms as we didn't stay, but the food was great and the staff were really friendly and attentive.

The best roast dinners in the southwest. Stayed a few days with family friends and tried lots of different dishes between us. Big compliments to the chef for being able to cook such a wide variety of dishes with unmatched taste! The beautiful seafront view is another plus, not to mention the quality of the customer service - super friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend and I would definitely come back.

This is the place to go if you're looking for a restaurant or a hotel! I stayed 2 nights, but wish I could stay longer. The bit that impressed me the most was the main reason for going to Weston-super-Mare. I went for a family gathering which took place in the hotel restaurant. It included over 10 people and the staff did amazing. The waitress did fantastic in taking orders and dividing up the bill so every group knew what they were paying without confusing calculations. The kitchen did amazing as meals came out 5-10 mins after they were ordered. The food was lovely and I'd definitely suggest you try there. The rooms are nice and look like they were refurbished not long ago. One thing I should point out was my bathroom was snug. Overall this should be the first hotel/restaurant you should try in Weston-super-Mare.

We stayed at Smith's as we were attending an event on the beach. Our double room had everything we needed and it was lovely and clean, the little welcome box was also a lovely touch. We had a few drinks and some food before we left, both reasonably priced and the food was really good! It was a really hot day and the garden area was busy but the staff were all so helpful and polite...such a credit to the hotel! We've already tried to book for next years trip.
