Inguinal hernia repair. 07:30 appointment. While waiting there was an emergency so I had to wait. Staff brought reclining chairs, veery thoughtful. Two very nice friendly anesthetist ladies. Don't remember until in recovery when staff nurse was very competent and helpful.

Daughter attended a&e a week ago receptionist (older lady) was rude and abrupt. All other staff from triage to doctors were great. Helpful and caring, pity about the rubbish receptionist!

A&E staff were amazing; the most attentive, caring clinical staff I’ve ever met. My dad was in really good hands. Thank you.

Attended A&E last Saturday evening. The staff are angels, nothing was too much trouble. They were efficient, kept me informed of everything I needed to know. They checked on my comfort frequently even tho ugh they were busy. Thank you.

Easily accessible by bus, taxi or own ride. Good services, friendly staff, lots of parking available, nice atmosphere, great views.
Highly recommended.
I saw a very old Austin at the parking lot, really fascinating, still on the road.

Raised a safe guarding concern and non action was taken. Only to then discharge the patient back home. Cleanliness was poor and nursing staff on the ward were unhelpful. Negligent!

I was sent to WGH by surgery and unfortunately had to take my children as I'm on holiday and without childcare. I was apprehensive as normally I'd not take anyone with me. Couldn't have asked for nicer staff. The whole team were fantastic from the receptionist to nurses and doctors. Thank you so much for your care and understanding and putting my children at ease.
I'm moving back into the area so this was really appreciated.
My dad was a former A and E doc in the area and I know some years back this hospital had a pretty bad rep. It has most definitely changed for the better and I couldn't fault the experience today.

We took our daughter to Weston A&E after a gymnastics accident where her knee had popped out and back in again, after waiting a couple of hours she was triaged and there after taken through to the beds within 10 minutes. Our experience from the wonderful staff on reception to the triage nurse, doctors and porters were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for you despite being incredibly busy. Thank you so much for looking after us we greatly appreciate what you did for our daughter.

From the start of my cancer diagnosis over a year ago my care has been nothing short of excellent at Weston Hospital. The colorectal team are wonderful as are all the staff from receptionists, radiographers, nurses, health care assistants, Drs and consultants. I've had two major surgeries here and wards are lovely. I have been to many hospitals this past year for different scans and Weston will always be my favourite and preferred choice. The great design of this hospital and space really helps if you're anxious too, and they have a car park with actual spaces. Very very lucky to have Weston as my local hospital.

Nov 2021 visited A&E with my daughter today and found it to be a very big disappointment.
The staff at the reception were not engaged in what was going on outside their office. They spent more time on the phone, computer and chatting rather than acknowledging anyone in the queue. This was distressing to see, as there were many people scared and in pain just being ignored. I know it's their job and they see it day in and out but the patient should be priority. Once checked in you couldn't wait with your loved ones (covid) this is understandable, however no one kept the families updated. I was in the foyer for 4 hours waiting for any update. When my daughter was finally released she was still in pain, had been waiting for over an hour for a prescription (which she had to get in the end) and felt she had not been listened to or helped in any way. She was just sat in a chair, and told to wait for results, then when she was asked what was her pain level (in which she replied 8) they didn't investigate further, just sent her on her way. Sadly I cannot recommend our A&E.
June 2021 Always found weston general hospital professional and efficient. Good staff that are happy to help. Visited neurology and physiotherapy recently and found them both very helpful and understanding. Feels a bit old and dated now but I'm sure work is ongoing to resolve this. Parking is 1.80 for an hour so lots try to street park which unfortunately blocks up village.
