Seriously this practice is awful.
Having recently moved to the area I registered with this Practice. I didn't expect them to apply for medical records immediately but I've now been a customer since July and they still don't have them.
They've written prescriptions for the wrong medication, they denied my access to medication and they've also gone against the express instructions of my Oncologist .
I've had apologies from 3 GP's in this practice but their apologies are empty as they keep on making mistakes
Their catalogue of errors is comical and yet they don't seem to think that they're accountable.
Time look for another, better, practice.
If anyone from The Cedars pick up on this, please, my advice is simple, stop passing the buck and put a Process Control Procedure into place........its just error after error and apology after apology.....yet nothing improves. Does it take the death of a customer, through your actions and negligence for you to improve?

Mike pimm is rude , he has no bedside manners what so ever don't know how he ever got the job!! , however his son Dr Freddie pimm is absolutely fantastic he is patient , professional and can't do enough for you ,always so thorough gets back to you promptly and very easy to talk to he is by far the best doctor Iv ever dealt with and is in my opinion the glue that holds that surgery together! It's about time his dad retires as head practitioner and leaves it to his very competent son to take the reins and I know as I write this I speak for many others but all in all I rate this surgery 4 stars and will definitely be a 5 stars when Mike pimm finally resigns 🤞

Very nice staff and doctors. Prompt resolution to my queries. Very organised check in for appointment and little waiting times. Good parking space as well. Never had any problems with any of my consultations.

Never seem to have a problem here. Staff are friendly and the nurse(s) are thorough. I find I can get an appointment quicker via askmygp

I've used this surgery for years and never had an issue.
The askmyGP service is brilliant. Always a quick response and no need to call up fighting for an appointment.

I have had nothing but positive interactions with the surgery. All requests are managed well and timely. The ask my gp app is amazing but only due to the staff being proactive and efficient.

Ah honest review in my opinion.
Some people complain at the drop of a hat because they can't get through on the phone or someone was a bit short that day. So reviews aren't always fair we all know that. Some put up with things not realising it shouldn't be that way. I think I fall in the latter.
I was with the Cedars for 8 years as it was the local doctors. My late step father, a nice man, said it was an awful surgery but I perhaps foolishly dismissed his comments.
Previously I'd belonged to a modern doctors in Bristol, they were very quick in dealing with everything and I was always impressed. I've never had any reason to complain at the NHS.
Joining the Cedars it felt like I'd gone back to the 1970-80s a bit with the dated building, but I assumed the staff would be upto date.
This is just my opinion but it seemed to me some how the management put barriers up. The doctors themselves seem ok. The ask my gp thing is bit annoying but seems to work.
Why I say this is I had a problem with a sleep appnea machine they refused to send me to sleep unit to get it repaired and I had to appeal in writing just to see the sleep unit, even though I'd been previously diagnosed and it was only a repair.
I went in complaining of chest pains. The doctor couldn't find a large blood pressure cuff sending me away telling me I needed to loss weight, this was 3 days before I had a heart attack. That was probably negligent of the locum doctor but the practice should never have employed them.
I needed a lump removed in my testicles and had to write multiple letters of appeal and then they were lost. 5 years I waited keep appealing.
All the time they kept saying it was they way the system works nowadays and I accepted this as we've all heard of NHS cut backs.
This was getting me depressed but dispite that I just accepted it. I didn't for one moment consider a friends comment that it was a for profit private doctors practice operating on behalf of the NHS which may have profit over patient care at the core and there maybe unknown reasons.
My heart specailist was asking the doctor to get things sorted but nothing happened. Eventually he suggested maybe I change doctors.
I've now changed doctors on his suggestion and the new doctors are so on the ball. They've got me straight in to get the lump removed no problem at all saying they couldn't see what all the fuss was and doing stuff which have changed my life dramatically.
Before changing doctors I wrote to the surgery explaining concerns but they didn't reply, I wonder if they "lost that letter" and I've debated taking legal action for medical negligence following the incident with the heart attack and other things not mentioned here but it's hard to prove 100% and it's all hassle.
But ultimately I don't believe that's the best course of action, it's not about winning in court getting a bit of money, it's about doing the right thing. I feel the best course of action for me is to remove myself from using their service and warn others.
Should they ask me to remove this review, or if I discover it has been removed it would show simply they'd rather surpress critical opinion than improve their service.
I am a firm believer God gives everyone fair warning and a chance to change.
Therefore I can't recommend this doctors but I wish you all the best.

The drs and midwives are great. Lorna Reed specifically is amazing! However there’s one receptionist who is so rude. She has short hair and glasses and constantly ignores me when I come in. I’ll come in and say hello to check in and she’ll completely blank me and carry on doing whatever she’s doing. I’ve said hello about 5 times before and been blanked every time before another receptionist finally answered me. Disgusting behaviour. A simple “one moment” or something would be enough but to completely ignore people is so unprofessional. It’s not just me she does it to either.

The ask my GP service is brilliant. Staff always helpful and prompt in replies. The receptionists are a joke. Rude, Moody, off hand, arrogant and somehow think they have some sort of medical training. (Picking up the phone does not qualify you to be a doctor). If you don't wish to pick up the phone and speak to people decently GET ANOTHER JOB. The next time my wife is spoken to in this manner will result in a complaint being made.
