I have been having treatment with Chris at The Koru Clinic, Weston super Mare for the past few weeks for some sports related injuries which have been hindering me for months. During these visits he has been both informative and professional as well as showing me lots of aftercare options. After months of pain I am finally getting some relief and results!! A true professional in his field i definately feel in safe hands, would highly recommend 100%.

I have been receiving treatments from Chris over the past month and am extremely pleased with his professional and reassuring service. He really seems to understand my pains and gives clarity on how to treat them with no incomprehensible jargon. Pure Health offers a comfortable environment in which Chris and Sophie can assess, treat and discuss your health problems. Would recommend these guys to anyone!

I've had treatment with several Osteopaths over 35 years and now that I live in Bristol I feel fortunate to have found Sophie ( and her husband Chris) who have treated my back problems very effectively and given helpful preventive advice . I feel very comfortable and confident with their treatments, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

If you’re a runner with an injury – it’s definitely paying Pure Health Osteopath Clinic a visit..... After months of intense training I picked up an injury 5 weeks before the first ever Bristol to Bath (and my first ever) marathon. Tight calves (a common side-effect of high mileage) were causing all sorts of problems - one of which was a stabbing shin pain. Sports masseuses/physios said I shouldn’t run on it – so I began a 5 dramatic week taper (of practically no running). 2 weeks to go and (with some very serious bruising caused by trying to get the most stubborn of knots out of my calves!) they told me I had to drop out of marathon - and I was devastated! All those months of training wasted. I’ve known Sophie and Chris for years, but it never dawned on me to pay them a visit with regard to my muscular injury. What could an osteopath do for runners? I was completely wrong, and luckily Sophie had heard about my injury and asked me to pay the clinic a visit. Chris and Sophie diagnosed shin-splints and agreed they were caused by the tight calves. They explained that the normal course of treatment is rest and cross-training..... but realising that the marathon was a one-off for me, insisted that I run the marathon (and as friends were looking forward to watching me run it), under the condition I follow their advice in the week-and-a-half leading up to the marathon, which centered around lots of ice, stretching, kinesio tape, and hot baths. It worked. I ran the marathon despite being out of action of over a month, and to my surprise I came 56th in my category. All thanks to Sophie and Chris. I now recommend to all of my running buddies Pure Health Osteopath Clinic. As runners we often find that some sports physios and masseuses may tell you just to stop running. What is different about the Pure Health Osteopath Clinic is that Chris and Sophie appreciate that running is a massive part of our lives and try to compromise their treatment plan accordingly. From now on I am going get a regular MOT at the Pure Health Osteopath Clinic.
